Still sick.

I hate being sick. It's terrible. And I've been going in and out of it. I feel better, then I don't feel better. Headache goes away, then it comes back. My sinuses clear up, then they're blocked up again. It's just miserable. I painted my nails to cheer myself up a little, though, and I even attempted a little nail art.

This is the other polish I got from Gaby, OPI Kiss Me On My Tulips. It's such a pretty pink creme, and I think it really suits me. This is three coats, though I probably could've done with two if my hands had been steadier. I'm wearing it on my toes too, which is saying something because I never let my fingers and toes match.

And then, I decided to channel my inner Chelsea King. I love her and her nail art (who doesn't?), and I thought a holographic glitter placement would be perfect on this color. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a good picture before I ruined them (I hate being sick), so all I've got for this one is the instagram photo. Sorry y'all.

Hope y'all like. I'll be back on my feet soon, which will mean better pictures, at least. And with summer around the corner, nail art is on its way!

Oh! Before I forget again, when I was writing my last post, I kept feeling like I was forgetting something. I feel this way a lot, and usually I'm wrong, so I posted it anyway. Then, I got an e-mail that made me realize what I had forgotten: I won another giveaway, hosted by Rowan. She makes adorable false nail sets, and I won one! I can't wait to show you guys. (I even have nail tabs ready to go.) Thank you, Rowan! I love your nails, and I can't believe I forgot to say thank you before. Forgive me? <3

Until next time!

Thank you!

Hello everyone!

I'm dying to do some nail art! Life as a undergraduate music major gets so hectic right around this time of the semester, what with auditions, recitals, juries, projects, observations, etc. And with a sinus infection - I have no idea how I'm staying afloat. But, fear not! Summer's around the corner and I absolutely can't wait! So, to hold myself over, I thought I'd take a minute to talk about all the good fortune I've had, and to say thank you's.

Firstly, my giveaway has ended and it went really well! Congrats, and thanks for entering, to Jocelyn of Juicy Nail Art, the happy winner of the nail charms! I'm working on getting customs paperwork done to send you your prize. I hope you're very happy with them, and I'd love to see the manicures you create with them!

Secondly, I've won a few giveaways of my own that have made me very excited. Many thanks to Gaby of The Nail Adventure, Diosa Nails, and Charlie of Popping Nails for hosting giveaways that I was privileged to win! From Gaby, I received a beautiful OPI set called Grab it, Bag it, and Go! that contains a cosmetic bag and two polishes.

And of course, I had to put at least one of them on right away! Below is the polish on the right, called "Red Lights Ahead... Where?", a beautiful, bright red-orange that cheered me right up through my sinus infection! Pictured is three coats with top coat.

From Diosa, I won three polishes of my choice, which I can't wait to show you when I get them. It's a brand I've never tried, so I'm looking forward to the opportunity. And from Charlie, I won a $20 Born Pretty Store gift card, which was really awesome because I love them and I never have extra money to spend. I placed my order, and I'm really excited about showing y'all all the beautiful things coming my way. Again, thank you to all of you for hosting such awesome giveaways!

Thirdly, I wanted to say thanks to those of you who have placed orders with me in my etsy store. I'm a little backed up because I'm sick - I really don't want to contaminate your nail sets or send you germs in the mail. Thank you for your patience, and please just hang on a little longer so that I won't make you sick!

Lastly, I really just want to say thank you to all of you, for supporting me in this crazy little thing I do. It's such a passion for me, and I know you all understand. It's amazing to be surrounded by people who get it, and to make friends in this community. You're all wonderful. Thank you.

Tiedye Tutorial

Hello! Tiedye tutorial time! I've been working on this for a little while. I was having a really hard time deciding how to do this. In the end, I decided a picture tutorial would be best. I don't have the ability to create video tutorials, and a verbal walk-through didn't seem like enough. And rather than just creating a long post, I thought maybe a single image would be better so you guys can save it if you want! Anyway, on to the tutorial:

There we go! If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment below, and I'll do my best to answer every single one.
